Understand the market again
Read between the lines of job ads - what the role is really asking for, what the company is going through, and whether it's worth applying.
When restructure happens, impacted employees need practical support. Redundancy is a vulnerable moment. JobAlchemist provides your impacted employees with structured, private job-search support from day one and offers HR a consistent and scalable support option.
Employers see seat activation only. Individual activity, applications, and assessments remain completely private to each employee.
Employees access JobAlchemist directly and privately. No waiting list, no intake form, no coach to schedule.
Read between the lines of job ads - what the role is really asking for, what the company is going through, and whether it's worth applying.
An honest fit assessment against real requirements, not keywords. Where they're strong, where there are gaps, and what to lead with.
Role-specific CV and cover letter drafts that connect their experience to what the employer needs, with clear reasoning behind every change. Plus role-specific interview preparation to close the loop from application to offer.
JobAlchemist isn't a generic AI tool you point at a problem. Employees work through a structured workflow - starting with the job ad, moving through a fit assessment, and producing a tailored CV and cover letter with clear reasoning behind every change.
Here's what that looks like.
Screenshot 1 - Job ad analysis
Hidden signals, org context, and the real requirements behind the language - so employees know what they're walking into before deciding whether to apply.
Screenshot 2 - Fit assessment
Where they're strong, where they have gaps, and which gaps actually matter. Backed by their CV, not by guesswork.
Screenshot 3 - Tailored drafts
Role-specific. Clearly reasoned. Every change explained so employees understand it and can own it.
A coaching programme is valuable. But it typically starts in week two or three, after intake, matching, and scheduling. By then, the employee's momentum - and their confidence - has already dipped. JobAlchemist is different because it's immediate and task-focused. Employees can start the same afternoon notifications go out.
| Traditional Outplacement | JobAlchemist | |
|---|---|---|
| When it starts | Week 2-3 (after intake and matching) | Same day - available when notifications go out |
| Format | Coach-led sessions | Structured, self-directed - employees work at their own pace |
| Cost per employee | $1,500-$5,000+ | A fraction of that |
| Scalability | Fixed cohort, coordinated scheduling | Any size, any time, no coordination required |
| Employee privacy | Varies by provider | Complete - employer sees seat activation only |
Each employee receives JobAlchemist access for a defined transition period, with options to suit different cohort sizes and budgets. The offer is intentionally simple to implement quickly and consistently across a cohort.
JobAlchemist works as a standalone support option or sits alongside whatever else you have in place - internal HR support, EAP, or traditional outplacement for roles that warrant it.
Traditional outplacement in New Zealand and Australia typically runs $1,500-$5,000 per employee. For a cohort of 10 people, that's a significant budget commitment - often one that isn't available or justified for every role.
JobAlchemist is priced per employee, at a fraction of what a coached programme costs. Get in touch to discuss the right arrangement for your cohort size.
Discuss pricing →Employees use JobAlchemist privately. That privacy is deliberate - it's what makes the tool trustworthy enough to actually be used.
Seat activation only. Employers do not have visibility into individual employee activity, job applications, fit assessments, or outputs.
Candidate data is encrypted in transit and at rest. It is not used to train AI models, and it is not sold or shared with third parties. Where data informs product improvement, it is aggregated and de-identified.
JobAlchemist started when Suhel's wife was made redundant. She was spending four to five hours a day on job search - finding roles, assessing fit, trying to tailor applications in ChatGPT, tracking everything in spreadsheets. She was exhausted. That weekend, we built a prototype to take some of that weight off.
A few friends asked for access. Then a few more. When we started the beta, users told us unprompted that it would be valuable for employers supporting staff through redundancy - because they'd been through it themselves, or watched colleagues go through it. That shaped what JobAlchemist is now: something built to help both the person going through the transition, and the employer who wants to do right by them.
We've been through redundancies. We've watched friends go through them. We built this because the need is real and the existing options are too slow and too expensive for most situations.
That's why the employer offering matters as much as the product itself. When an organisation is going through a restructure, the support it provides says something real about how it treats people - and we wanted to make that support something employees would actually open and use.

JobAlchemist can be incorporated into the restructure and redundancy support you provide to clients - giving them a practical, structured option that's ready to deploy and easy to explain.
We're talking with a small number of NZ-based HR consultants about how this fits their practice. If you're advising clients through transition and want to understand how it works, we're happy to walk you through it.
